My name is José Manuel Laurido Huepe, Psychologist, MSc and Sports Coach with more than 10 years of experience with high performance and highly competitive athletes. Former federated swimmer and current amateur basketball player. 

In 2017 I founded Mentalité together with a group of psychologists. At that time our intention was to bring Sports Psychology to all of Chile, specifically in Classical Swimming. The intention was born because in my university days I had a great friend who was a swimmer and national team member. Unfortunately, due to factors of fate, he suffered a severe depression that kept him away from the slopes forever. He had everything to grow, but he failed to see the disease in time. I always wondered why there were no professionals in the National Teams who could see this type of case. Athletes go through difficult times and dealing with so much pressure is a task that requires great personal development and self-care. This is how Mentalité came to life, first entering the aquatic world, providing tools and techniques that would benefit the athlete's personal and sports performance. We present our work at the Metropolitan and Regional level. Now we open up to other sports and countries because we want to leave a mark that allows the transcendence of our work and especially of thevaluesthat characterize us: Commitment, passion, confidentiality, responsibility and empathy.
